Taking a Stand on the CRC Mega-Project!
A Summer Wine Mixer for CLF
"For three generations my family has lived in North Portland, from before the Interstate 5 was built to today. We care deeply about livability in our community and staying healthy. The Columbia River Crossing and massive freeway expansion harms the well-being of my family and my neighbors by increasing traffic, air pollution, and climate change. We deserve a better, more responsible vision for our region's economy."- Rev. Joseph Santos-Lyons, Member, CLF Board of Trustees
The Santos-Lyons family, like many others living along the I-5 corridor, will feel the negative impacts of the proposed Columbia River Crossing Highway Mega-Project: more highway traffic, more pollution, more environmental degradation. Coalition for a Livable Future has filed litigation to protect the health of community members and the environment from the CRC mega-project and we need your help!
CLF has long been a leading voice calling for a smaller, less expensive, more environmentally responsible approach to I-5, and for a just and sustainable Portland metro region. Please join us on Wednesday, August 15 for a wine mixer in support of CLF’s work on the CRC mega-project.
