Coalition for a Livable Future

  • Led project planning, including developing a project concept, workplan, and timeline, and building a project team
     
  • Played a lead role in managing the project at every step of its development
     
  • Facilitated the indicator selection process, including literature reviews, local and national expert interviews, developing a menu of potential indicators, and data source research
     
  • Conducted a robust stakeholder engagement process to gather in-depth input on the project framing and indicators
     
  • Worked with an Advisory Committee representing key stakeholder groups to provide guidance on the project planning and development
     
  • Worked with IMS and student research assistants to gather data for the indicators
     
  • Recruited and managed volunteers to clean and prep the data
     
  • Developed training materials, introductory workshops, and customized trainings for regional stakeholders
     
  • Developed content for the interpretive website and worked with a web developer to design and build the website
     
  • Organized and led workshops and trainings to support stakeholders in using the Equity Atlas 2.0 to inform their work
     
  • Worked with government agencies and community organizations to use the Equity Atlas 2.0 findings to promote policy change
     

Metro

  • Provided a co-project manager to ensure coordination and successful project completion
     
  • Provided use of the Context Tool mapping platform that had been developed for internal use 
     
  • Modified the Context Tool to meet the Equity Atlas 2.0 specifications
     
  • Provided access to Metro data
     
  • Incorporated the indicator data into the mapping tool
     
  • Funded Equity Atlas 2.0 training sessions for Metro staff and staff from local jurisdictions
     
  • Hosted the mapping tool on its website and the data on its servers
     

Portland State University Institute for Metropolitan Studies

  • Researched the availability and reliability of data being considered for inclusion in the Equity Atlas 2.0
     
  • Developed methodologies for mapping diverse data sets
     
  • Gathered and cleaned data
     
  • Worked with Metro to prepare each indicator to be ready to map
     
  • Produced user guides and tutorials
     
  • Worked with CLF to develop training and educational materials
     
  • Conducted technical training sessions for users of the mapping tool
