Can Ecodistricts can be reconceived as an anti-poverty strategy?
Can they address disparities in wealth, income, health and natural resources?
Can they prevent displacement of low-income people and people of color?

Come and learn about this exciting project! Thursday, June 6, 12-1:30pm, First Unitarian Church (1226 SW Salmon Street, Portland).  Living Cully: A Cully Ecodistrict is a coordinated effort by Hacienda CDC, NAYA (Native American Youth and Family Center), and Verde to drive environmental investments into the Cully Neighborhood in response to existing community needs: jobs, education, housing and quality of life. Living Cully is an anti-poverty strategy, focusing on the needs of low-income people and people of color. Panelists will include Hacienda’s Victor Merced and Nathan Teske; NAYA’s Rey Espana; and Verde’s Alan Hipolito and Tony DeFalco.
