Common Ground OR-WA social gathering

When: Monday, April 7, 5:30 – 7 PM
Where: McMenamin’s on NE Broadway and 15th, second floor, in the Billiard Room.

 

Light appetizers will be provided. No-host bar (Happy Hour 'til 6pm).

 

We would be honored if you could join us, even for a short appearance. 

 

At our social gatherings, folks interested in tax and revenue reforms mingle and share ideas. Common Ground OR-WA usually invites a special guest to talk briefly on a current subject.  At our April 7 social, Oregon Rep. Barbara Smith Warner and Jody Wiser, executive director of Tax Fairness Oregon, will talk about the prospects and challenges for tax reform. The topic is gaining visibility -- the City Club of Portland’s Property Tax Research Committee issued a report in November, and the Northwest Economic Research Center just released a report covered by The Oregonian (http://www.oregonlive.com/politics/index.ssf/2014/03/study_oregons_weird_property_t.html) -- so we're excited about growing momentum for property tax reform!
