Current Initiatives
The Regional Equity Atlas Project is a groundbreaking analysis of the relationship between our region's approach to development and managing growth and
how the benefits and burdens of growth are distributed.
Visit www.equityatlas.org
for a downloadable Atlas and maps, and to learn more about the project.
The Columbia River Crossing project is
a $3.6 billion proposed freeway expansion project for a five mile stretch of
Interstate 5 between North Portland and Vancouver,
WA. It is the
biggest, most expensive transportation investment in
the region’s history. We are promoting
the vision of a Climate Smart Columbia River Crossing
to ensure that this project helps create the future we want -- a sustainable
and healthy region.
Shift the
Balance! is our campaign to create a
more sustainable and equitable transportation system. Focused on the
big plan--Metro's Regional
Transportation Plan--and the big
project--the Columbia River
Crossing--Shift the Balance aims
to ensure these transportation decisions do three things: put people
first; do more with less; and support a sustainable economic future. Learn more about CLF's efforts
to shape the Regional Transportation Plan or about CLF's Climate Smart Columbia River Crossing
Campaign.
