Third Annual Regional Livability Summit(2005)
Close to 200 people participated in last year's Regional Livability Summit on March 3 & 4, 2005, representing a broad range of interests from throughout the region. The Summit is the annual networking and information-sharing event for people in the Portland area who are involved in shaping the future of their communities. This year we had increased participation from business representatives and Washington and Clark County residents. Participants gave strong reviews to the speaker presentations, and felt that the summit helped them strengthen the relationships that make our collaborative work possible.
The Summit began with an opening reception on March 3rd with political cartoonist Jack Ohman, and music by pianist Janice Scroggins. It continued on March 4th at Portland State University with the keynote address by David Goldberg of Smart Growth America, community caucuses and strategy sessions.
Please read the Summit proceedings and plan to join us next year.
To order a CD recording of the keynote address, call 503-294-2889 or email info@clfuture.org.
