Portlanders: It’s Time to Fix Our Parks, Vote YES on Measure 26-159

Vote Yes on 26-159

Voting YES on Measure 26-159 would support a Portland Parks replacement bond that will designate $68 million to park

maintenance over the next 10 years. The bond will go to fixing playgrounds, trails; improve park facilities, safety, and accessibility.

The bond will not increase taxes because it will be replacing the current $68 million bond that is set to expire in 2015.

Over the next 10 years, the City of Portland has projected that there will be $365 million in necessary major maintenance needs for our local parks. A failure to pass this measure will mean more park closures like the ones that have already happened at Couch Playground and on the Maple Trail in Forest Park.

Let’s make the smart investment and keep our parks open and safe. VOTE YES ON MEASURE 26-159.
