We are currently seeking a part-time organizer to work from December 2009 through June 2010 to assist with planning, coordination, and outreach for CLF’s Eighth Annual Regional Livability Summit. The Summit includes two segments: The first is a full conference which includes keynote addresses, a plenary panel and a variety of interactive breakout sessions. The second, called the Days of Equity Action, will include a set of done-in-a-day events—guided discussions, planned service projects, and advocacy activities focused on regional equity. This is a 300-hour, unpaid LINKS Americorps service opportunity. Upon successful completion of the term of service, the LINKS Americorps member is eligible for an education award of $1,000, which can be used to repay student loans, or for further education in an accredited institution of higher learning, vocational or for trade schools.
